Christine Williams has been a writer since she was 9 years old, writing poetry, magazine articles and short stories. This is her first, full length, novel. For several years Christine worked as an Area Manager with national and local charities, managing chains of fund-raising shops. Colleagues often said that someone should write a book about this hidden world, especially when something stranger-than-fiction happened, whether comic, disastrous or just plain daft - which was often! Christine determined that she would do so as soon as her hectic life permitted her the time. This book is the result.

Educated at an excellent Grammar School in the midlands, and having travelled extensively, Christine now lives in Buckinghamshire, where she runs a B&B, see www.drifterslodge.co.uk. She lives with her partner, David, has 2 children and a growing family of grand-children, as well as ’step’ children and their families. She continues to write and plans to write another volume to pick up the story of ‘Charity Begins’ where it leaves off in this first story.
